About the Role

  • Lead and manage multiple civil engineering projects simultaneously, covering bridges, structures, site formation and road works.

  • Drive the tender bidding process: review tender documents, develop competitive pricing strategies, coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs, and prepare high-quality tender submissions.

  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction to project teams, ensuring seamless coordination between design, construction, commercial and site operations.

  • Oversee project planning, resource allocation, programme control and risk management across the portfolio.

  • Ensure all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards, in full compliance with statutory and contractual requirements.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders; build and maintain strong working relationships.

  • Monitor commercial performance, control costs, manage variations and maximise project profitability.

  • Champion best practices in health, safety, environmental management and quality assurance.

  • Mentor and develop project managers and senior site staff; foster a high-performance culture.

  • Report regularly to senior management on project status, risks, opportunities and financial performance.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; membership of a recognised professional institution (e.g. MHKIE, MICE) preferred.

  • Minimum 15–20 years’ relevant experience in civil engineering construction, with substantial experience at Project Manager / Project Director level.

  • Proven track record in delivering major bridge, marine, site formation and/or roadworks projects, preferably in Hong Kong or similar markets.

  • Strong experience in tender preparation, pricing and bidding for main contractor works.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining control of programme, cost and quality.

  • Excellent leadership, commercial acumen, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of local construction regulations, contract forms (e.g. GCC, NEC) and industry best practices.

  • Strong written and spoken English is preferred.
